PATIENT PARTICIPATING GROUP
The aim of the Patient Participation Group is to
1.give patients, GPs and Practice staff an opportunity to meet, to exchange ideas and information,
2.include holding health information events;
3.consulting with patients on their experiences and their views on how services could be changed or improved within reason and if feasible.
4.helping to produce a newsletter to keep patients up to date on the activities of the Group and the services that the practice offers.
The group is made up from volunteer patients, the Practice Manager and one of the GPs from the Practice.
PPGs meet on a regular basis to discuss the services on offer, and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice and we want to ensure that the Group is representative of the Practice Population.
Being involved in the PPG gives you the opportunity to have a say in and, what’s more, to take action to improve the way health services are delivered in the community if feasible.
We will meet on a quarterly basis at the practice for one to two hours.
We will discuss forthcoming activity and address issues that have been raised by members of the group or other patients.
Discussions should be on ideas which will help all patients of the practice rather than one small group.
So if you want to join the group, please contact surgery and gives us your email address for us to contact you with regards the next PPG meeting.
